Last Friday’s guest speaker session, featuring Asuman Çelik, focused on the essential task of cultivating a strong spiritual identity and the responsibility of becoming effective role models in everyday life. Students were actively encouraged to set clear spiritual goals, ensure the sincerity of their intentions , and utilize the tools of consistent supplication and engagement with the Hizmet movement for personal growth. A key message was the importance of leading by example, making wise choices in friendships, and consistently reflecting Allah’s values through virtuous character, thereby demonstrating a commitment to exemplary conduct. Inspired by the teachings of Hocaefendi, the session emphasized that the lives of the Sahaba (companions of the Prophet Muhammad) offer more than just historical inspiration; they provide real and achievable blueprints for modern living. This perspective reinforced the enduring relevance of core virtues such as faith, honesty, and courage, demonstrating their potential to be successfully embodied by believers even amidst the complexities and challenges of the contemporary world.
