Financial aid information

Edep Academy Homeschool’s financial aid program is designed to provide an opportunity to families who could not otherwise afford the expenses of the program. It is solely based on need, and the committee’s decision does not affect an applicant’s chance of acceptance to the program.

Awards of 1% to 35%

Edep Academy Homeschool financial aid awards range from 1% to 35% of the tuition.

Remainder over 10 payments

The remaining tuition amount is divided into 10 payments.

Separate from admission

The financial aid committee’s decision does not affect an applicant’s chance of acceptance.

How awards are decided

Need is the absolute criteria

The financial aid committee decides on the amount of each award according to the available funds, the number of financial aid applications received, and the financial need documents submitted by the family.

Submission of a complete financial aid application does not guarantee that an award will be granted. Need is the absolute criteria for financial aid, and it is assessed after a student has received acceptance to the program.

What the committee weighs

  • The funds available in the aid budget that year

  • The number of financial aid applications received

  • The financial need documents submitted by the family

Because awards are weighed against the applications received in the same year, an incomplete or late file is the most common reason a family is passed over.

Applying for aid

Three steps, one address

The aid file is handled by the finance office, separately from the admissions file. Send everything to finance@edepacademy.org.

Complete the form

Fill out the financial aid application form in full. It lists the supporting documents the committee needs from your family.

Send the documents

Email the required documents along with the financial aid application form to finance@edepacademy.org.

Committee review

The committee reviews complete files and sets the award amount. Need is assessed after a student has been accepted to the program.

Four things families ask us first

If a question is not answered here, the finance office will answer it directly. Aid questions are kept separate from the admissions file, and asking about them costs nothing.

Does applying for aid hurt our chances?

No. The financial aid committee’s decision does not affect an applicant’s chance of acceptance to the program.

Is an award guaranteed?

No. Submitting a complete application does not guarantee that aid will be granted. Awards depend on available funds and the applications received.

How is the remaining balance paid?

The remaining tuition amount after an award is divided into 10 payments.

Who do we send documents to?

The required documents go to the finance office along with the completed application form.
