Four pages, in the order most families read them

Read what we look for, check the numbers, see whether aid applies to you, then apply. The admissions team answers email year round if a page leaves something unanswered.

The process

From first email to first day

Every part of the process is graded, and the total score decides selection. Nothing here is a formality, and every stage is worth real effort.

Dates to keep

The admissions calendar

Exam dates are subject to change, so confirm with the admissions team before you plan travel. Families applying from out of state usually sit the exam on the same visit as their campus tour.

Enrollment payment deadlines are listed in full on the Tuition and Values page.

  • Open house: Sunday, February 1st, 2026

  • Exam option one: Sunday, February 1st, 2026

  • Exam option two: Sunday, March 1st, 2026

  • Exam option three: Sunday, March 29th, 2026

  • Interviews: scheduled individually until June

  • Final decisions: by April at the latest, then rolling

What we look for

Five things the committee reads for

The program is demanding, and it runs for one year only. The admission process is developed to recognize students who will use that year well, and placement is made on test scores and academic background alone.

  • Love of learning and intellectual curiosity

  • Academic background

  • Self driven and responsible studying skills to sustain the challenging program

  • Exemplary character and personality traits

  • Willingness to involve and contribute to the school program and community

Questions parents ask

Before you start

If your question is not here, write to admissions@edepacademy.org or call 1.862.330.1164. Admissions appointments are scheduled year round.

Edep Academy offers a one year 8th grade program built for homeschooled students. Academics follow Common Core standards and are enriched with Qur’an, Islamic studies, and character education. Students enroll from states across the country and from abroad.

The online application form is submitted directly. Everything on the checklist, including the report card, essay, reference details, and test results, goes to admissions@edepacademy.org.

Yes. The boys dormitory is inside the same building as the school and accommodates 30 students with 10 chaperones. Tuition also covers weekly stay overs in the dormitory, including dinner and breakfast, for students who do not board full time.

No. Financial aid is decided separately and solely on need. The committee’s decision does not affect an applicant’s chance of acceptance to the program, and need is assessed after a student has been accepted.

Mathematics, English, and Qur’an, sat on campus at 164 Totowa Rd, 3rd floor. If a student has an IEP or 504 plan, parents should have the case manager or child study team send the required accommodations in advance so they can be arranged.

The admissions committee examines applications after the interviews and makes the final decision by April at the latest. Applications are then processed on a rolling basis until the available spots are filled.

Placement is made only on test scores and academic background. Arrangements are not made based on parents’ requests or students’ friendship preferences.
